Chanelle Allesandre writes poetry and prose, composes atmospheric and improvised soundscapes, makes flower essences, takes 35mm film photographs, and is an occasional monitrice. Translation, in both a literal and figurative sense, is the focal point of her recent work. She is devoted to fostering the filigree that is woven from creative collaborations and risk-taking in her artistic community. She is currently living beside the Quinnipiac river in New Haven.
